This fragment of the Forma has been identified as a portion of the Crypta of Balbus: the upper part shows engaged columns against the outer wall and two rows of interior columns, which form the innovative double-aisled walkway. Two other pieces of the Forma, newly identified and configured, locate the Crypta beside the Porticus Minucia and show the distinctive apse, marked with the letters THEATRUM (see Crypta Balbi Museum publication, p. 15). Most of the Balbus complex is still missing, however.
