In the very midst of the Forum Romanum, three trees were kept growing, a fig tree, an olive tree, and a vine.According to Pliny (NH 15.20.78), the fig and the vine grew naturally near the Lacus Curtius, but the olive tree had been planted in order to provide shade. These trees were in the same area as a statue of Marsyas; this statue is depicted twice, carrying a wineskin over his shoulder, on the plutei Traiani:

The court of the Praetor used to be held near the statue of Marsyas.
