Cubiculum

Claudia leads you into a room behind one of the doorways off the atrium. The room is on the west side of the home. You look around and marvel at the colorful walls painted in red, blue, and yellow. Springing from the walls there are high arches giving the room an elaborate appearance. There are a couple of benches in the center of the room. Claudia explains that this is the most public waiting room for her father's clients. Anyone can wait in here. She explains that all the doorways in the Atrium lead to cubicula. The ones on the west are for her father's visitors, the one's on the east are for her mother's visitors. The first room on either side of the atrium is a public waiting area. The second room is the office of her father or mother; this is where they actually conduct business. The last room is a waiting room for more intimate clients. It is a bit more decorated, but not much, Claudia tells you. She says that because it is morning she cannot show you these parts of the house because both her parents have company. at this time.
