Clothing Store District of the Via Abundantiae

Here is a section of the Via Abundantiae that focuses on the clothing industry with a cluster of three stores. Perhaps you smell various odors as you come upon this part of the street.

The first store, next to the Cybele-Venus shop, is a cloth-dying establishment.

Just 15 meters to the west and across the street is one of the largest fulleries in Pompeii.

Across the street from that fullonica is a large store that made and sold clothing; it is owned by Verecundus.
