ALA

To the north of the atrium between a cubiculum and a triclinium you find a spacious ALA. Near the top of the outside wall is a small window which adds some light to this dim space. No doors separate it from the atrium, so it feels like an extension, rather than a separate room. Along the wall you see a CABINET and decide to look into it in a moment. For now, you stand near the middle of the ala and look back at the atrium. You can still hear the water in the impluvium and see the light streaming in from the compluvium. As the light filters toward you, you notice the walls are in the same style as the atrium, preserved in the original style. Next you move toward the cabinet that resembles the ARCA you saw in the atrium.
