gold bulla
On the lararium, you find two GOLD BULLAS, small bag-shaped amulets, that are worn around the neck of sons of citizens. Each of these bullas is elaborately decorated with an ornament flap, beaded gold wire, and braided gold ribbons. You know that Cornelius' sons have recently come of age, you attended the dinner given in their honor just a few months before. Amazed at such delicate work, you take a last look and then proceed through the atrium.
