Tribute to Alison Barker

The entire VRoma community mourns the loss one of our valuable and highly valued members, Alison Barker, who died on December 28, 2004. Alison taught Latin and Greek for many years at St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire, and she served as President of the Classical Association of New England in 2003. She was a member of our core faculty and the builder of the Portico of Octavia in the MOO (as Baucis). A gifted classicist and extraordinary teacher, Alison creatively adapted internet technology for the teaching and learning of Classics. We keep this office in VRoma as a tribute to her memory).
