Workshop of M Fabricius Minor
You see the tidy, sparse, workroom of a stonemason. Marcus Fabricius is the youngest member of a family which has labored as stonemasons, builders, carvers of images and inscriptions. His ancestors have worked on such Roman monuments as the Arch of Titus, the Obelisk of Augustus, the Aqua Marcia, and many others too numerous to mention. Click on the objects in his room and he will send you to sites of which he and his family are justifiably proud. Or you can go to his inscription carving room where you can try your hand at carving inscriptions on some of his spare stone. Make sure you inscribe in all CAPITAL LETTERS and in your best LATIN. You might first visit the arch, obelisk, or aqueduct to see inscriptions with standard forms and useful abbreviations.
