Tribunal

statue of Augustus as Jupiter
You enter the tribunal with trepidation. The emperor, great Augustus himself, sits on a dais ready to listen to the arguments of the opposing orators. Although he is now an old man and wears the senatorial toga, to your dazzled eyes and heightened imagination he appears in the guise of Jupiter, with the radiant and idealized youth of a god.

Marshal your evidence and present your case well. Augustus will take a few minutes to deliberate, weighing the arguments of both sides, and then he will deliver his judgment.
