The Aeneid is a text on the flight of Aeneas and his companions after the Fall of Troy. Aeneas has many adventures as he tries to find another land in which to settle. Many of Aeneas's companions did not complete the trip -- they perished. But after many, many years, Aeneas finally reached the shores of what would become known as Rome.
