cubiculum secundum

In this sixth century black figure vase Neoptolemus is shown with Hector's son, Astyanax, in his right hand, about to kill Priam who is seated on the altar of Zeus. To the left Menelaus is recovering Helen, and to the right two Trojan Women (perhaps Hecuba and Andromache) gesture in horror and grief.
