You see a large bronze statue of a bull prominently located in the forum. The statue has stood here as long as you can remember, even though there is little trading in cattle in these sophisticated urban times. You notice that many people give it an affectionate pat as they hurry by and wonder idly whether this has anything to do with the ancient role of the bull as the symbol of Italia.
