Atrium
The atrium is the main hallway of the house. It is very bright right now because it is morning time, the usual time to receive guests. It is the most public area, and the only area every visitor sees. Claudia's atrium is a large, rectangular shape with six doorways leading out of it. Three on the east, three on the west, and two on the north wall, plus the entrance from the vestibulum. Alternating with the doorways are statues of members of Claudia's family. In the center of the room is an impluvium, a small pool filled by the rainwater. Above the impluvium is a large opening the size of the pool so that light and rain can enter the atrium. The room is very quiet, even though it is the time when guests call on Claudia's father.
