Good news: enCore v5 no longer needs Java or a telnet connection. The program is fully functional without them, enabling users behind firewalls to participate in synchronous chat. All you need now is a webport opened at 7000. This port can be accessed through a web proxy. The refreshing is done automatically in some places and is user defined in other places.
However, we still do recommend that Java be installed and enabled on the user machine and that a telnet port be open at 8200 to vromamoo.servehttp.com.
